Earbus Gets the Ear of the Minister
Commonwealth Minister for Government Services and Senator for Western Australia, Linda Reynolds, visited Lockridge Primary School recently to see Earbus in action.
Minister Reynolds said she was "delighted to visit one of the seven Earbus clinical services and meet the team delivering important ear screening and treatment services to thousands of Aboriginal and at-risk children across WA".
"Far too many Aboriginal children in WA suffer from preventable hearing loss which can have lifelong impacts on all aspects of their lives. The great work by Earbus allows children to reach their full potential through listening and learning," she said.
Our CEO Paul Higginbotham said: "Earbus Foundation was honoured to host Senator Linda Reynolds, Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme and Minister for Government Services, at Lockridge Primary School to show the Metro Earbus in action screening and treating Indigenous children".
"It was great to be able to introduce Minister Reynolds to a few of almost 5,000 Aboriginal children seen by Earbus across the state from Wyndham to Esperance and most parts in-between."
