Meet Belinda Porte Garcia

Hi my name is Belinda Porte Garcia. Originally a musician by trade I came across Audiology purely by chance.  Whilst visiting family at St John of God Mt Lawley hospital after the birth of their first child I saw bub have her newborn hearing screen and thought, I could do that! Three years on I am excited to be graduating from UWA as an Audiologist. A practicuum placement to Punmu sparked my interest in working with at-risk children and in remote communities. I was then lucky enough to be offered a role at Earbus. As the provider of newborn hearing screening at Mt Lawley Hospital, Earbus Foundation is the reason I wanted to become an Audiologist and I feel very honoured to be working as part of the Earbus team.
