Big Help Provided
Earbus Foundation of WA is excited to welcome BHP as a major sponsor of our work in Aboriginal communities in the Pilbara, providing operational and capital funding. BHP funding allows Earbus Foundation to deliver Outreach Programs into the township of Newman and the remote Aboriginal community of Jigalong in the southern Pilbara region. The Outreach Program will deliver monthly Clinical visits to the schools in the region and deploy a fully-equipped customised Earbus that will be permanently located in Newman township.
BHP is a world-leading resources company, extracting and processing minerals, oil and gas with products being sold worldwide. BHP’s global headquarters are in Melbourne.
As with Earbus Foundation, BHP’s people – especially the leaders - are expected to hold themselves accountable for living the corporate values. We are grateful to BHP for their engagement with Earbus Foundation and their financial support for this important program extension. While Clinical visits have already commenced we expect the Newman Earbus to be on the ground for the start of the 2021 school year.
