Meet Carol Yarran

Carol Yarran, Goldfields Ear Screener

Carol is a Ballardong Noongar woman born in Northam but has spent her life and career all over WA. Carol's career started with a childcare work placement in high school, which turned into her first job.

Later Carol joined the Education Department as an Aboriginal and Islander Education Officer (AIEO) prior to having children. Carol's interest in ear health began after her children required ENT intervention. Carol worked as an outreach ear screener in Perth, prior to moving her family to Kalgoorlie and Coolgardie.

She stayed in touch with Earbus CEO Paul Higginbotham, and was delighted when a Kalgoorlie-based Screener position became available.  Although Carol misses her family in Perth and the water, she loves the Goldfields and is excited to learn more about ear health and work with Earbus.
