Rotary and EFWA Sign MOU
Earbus Foundation of WA and Rotary Club of Karrinyup have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to build a fully-equipped Earbus for use in regional remote Western Australia. The two organisations are working in close partnership on a detailed set of design specifications that will allow future Earbus design to be streamlined and standardised. The project reinforces Rotary International’s long-standing support for hearing projects around the world. The Rotary Earbus will be supported with design and engineering expertise, fundraising and events throughout 2014. The new bus will be on the road in early 2015.
“We are honoured and excited to have Rotary as a major supporter of our work,” said EFWA CEO Paul Higginbotham. “We think there is a great synergy between the two organisations and we look forward to working very closely with President Peter Durrant, Heather Leaney and the wonderful people who support them.”
Rotary Club formally launches the Earbus project at a select black tie event in May.
